Adoption Update 9/7/05
We finally got all of the letters from doctors that we needed yesterday and Holly faxed them to the agency. We received a telephone call tonight that we had been approved, and that an email would follow detailing the next steps. The email attachment was 12 pages long, 6 of which are the Fee and Service Agreements. We will complete those tomorrow, have them notarized, and send them on to the agency. We will then begin the process of having a home study completed by a Licensed Social Worker. We will then begin the process of preparing our dossier - a comprehensive collection of documents that will go to the Chinese government for final approval for us to adopt. This part alone takes 3-5 months. Whew!
Please continue to pray for all of us during this time, and check back for more updates.
For those of you who have no idea as to what I am talking about here, please check out my post, "Following God's Call."
